INSTRUCTIONAL TANDEM FLIGHTS

How many people do you know that have risen above the clouds in their favorite easy chair, wind in their hair, and just hung around for a while?

Imagine spending part of your day floating effortlessly over the most breathtaking terrain you have only ever viewed in the pages of National Geographic, or out your car window, or from the top of a day-long hike.

Our USHPA Certified and insured tandem instructors have flown hundreds of commercial tandem flights over the past years with a perfect safety record. Flystyle uses state-of-the-art tandem gliders — massive gliders designed to carry the weight of both the instructor and passenger.

Each person has their own harness, connected together with spreader bars. The tandem instructor sits in the back and the passenger sits in front. We organize our equipment and do a very thorough simulation and explanation before our actual launch. After a ten-minute briefing, you and the flight instructor each get into your own comfortable, cushioned harness that is connected to the wing. The instructor double and triple checks your buckles and straps, clips you in, and we turn and wait for a nice launch cycle.
Two minutes later, you're airborne!
Once in the air, your flight instructor will explain to you what he is doing and the dynamics of how paragliders fly. If conditions permit, you'll be offered hands-on control of the glider.
Expect a flight that lasts from 15-50 minutes (depending on flying conditions).

We are available seven days a week if you schedule in advance. Try calling us at 503.915.2824 if you are in town and the weather looks good. Our ability to launch and fly safely is totally dependent on the weather.

We look forward to getting you in the sky and teaching you how to fly.
